Hannah Sweeney joined Pavich Law Group in 2015. Having completed her undergraduate degree in 2013, and subsequently working full-time in an outside field, Hannah was ready to move forward with her legal career when she took the position with PLG. Her internal roles advanced as she worked while simultaneously attending law school. An avid learner and critical thinker, Hannah was drawn to the combination of advocacy and complexity in the cases she encountered through her work as a law clerk and then as a paralegal. When she graduated and passed the bar exam, Hannah was welcomed as an attorney at the firm – a continuation of the imprint she’d already made on the company, the team, and our clients.
Hannah has a unique determination to explore complex medical issues, decipher records, interface with medical experts, challenge assumptions, and evaluate the actual implications on our clients’ lives. As our team works together to tirelessly advocate on behalf of our clients, Hannah delivers both empathy and professional prowess.
Raised in the western suburbs, Hannah returned to her hometown to raise her family and serve her local community (in addition to our clients across Illinois and Indiana, of course!). The daughter of a doctor, Hannah emulates the same excellence at the intersection of an impactful career and engaged motherhood that she learned from her own mother.
As Hannah considers milestone cases in her career, each instance revolves around the opportunity to improve lives: a paralyzed individual is able to get an accessible van; a disabled child can receive ongoing support for their lifetime, including support for when their parents are gone; mothers who have lost their children are able to hold accountable, in some measure, those at fault.
When a fellow parent reaches out, we come alongside them in their trauma. We step into the pain, injury, and loss to give them space to feel, and what results is the powerful instinct to protect them and their family. In each case we take, what our clients experienced should never have happened, and they deserve for their voices to be heard.
